Six small hunter’s cabins are built into the perimeter of the hunting ground for hunters to overnight while hunting. Stove heating. The distance between the cabins is 10-15 km and supposed to be covered for a day ski trip.
Hunters go by snowmobiles where possible and on skis in rugged country areas.
Hunting is done by means of traps, nooses, firearms. Dogs may also be used.
One needs at least 30 days to make one's hunt a success.
In December, when Golyginskoye Lake is frozen over, Molokan (a freshwater form of Coho) strikes well.
The hunting ground is located in mountainous terrain with a lot of alder thickets on slopes. Mountain hares like these places very much. Here hares breed well and in December-January they massively descend as soon as rivers are frozen over. Thereby they are always plentiful on this ground. A hunter can get up to 20-30 pieces within one day, if various methods are used. Hare hunting is very sporting and interesting. Their number is unlimited.
Hunting other animals is carried out with traps. There are many hunting paths with traps set on the whole hunting ground. In the beginning of the hunting season a hunter sets traps, hangs bait and then he just checks them in short time intervals while going from one cabin to another.

For this kind of hunting one needs to have good hunting skis (plastic laminate is better) because snow can have different conditions depending on air temperature.
Outwear should be light and windproof.
Footwear – high warm and waterproof boots.
For crossing rivers and creeks one needs to have high rubber stockings (of bigger size) to wear them over boots.
Shotguns of various calibers are preferable.
Gun rental of both rifles and shotguns is possible on the hunting ground.
